Why do an MBA in North America?

As the birthplace of the MBA, around the turn of the 19th Century, North America has always been the dominant player in MBA education, with hundreds of the world’s best business schools at institutions in every state and major city.

Harvard Business School probably began business education, though Tuck Business School in New Hampshire also claims to have created the first actual MBA.

Either way, for decades, the concept of taking an MBA remained a North American phenomenon. It wasn’t until much later, in the 1950s and 1960s, that INSEAD in France and then other business schools such as London and Manchester filled the gap in their countries’ markets. Read full article >
