Overview

ALBA Graduate Business School prepares selective individuals for leadership in business, aiming to be a leading centre of research and teaching excellence in postgraduate business education in Europe.

ALBA is recognized for its excellent faculty, the calibre of its teaching and research, and its strong network with the business community. Operating under the auspices of the Federation of Greek Industries, the Hellenic Management Association, and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it is supported by 82 corporate members. It is firmly committed to fostering a new generation of executives – highly qualified for distinguished careers in international business and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to become agents of change within their organization and society.

ALBA postgraduate programs of study:
MBA Program (full-time): This is ALBA’s flagship program and has one important aim: to develop leaders with general management skills, enabling them to succeed in today’s business challenges. The MBA’s over-intensive 12-month curriculum consists of a broad range of courses that cover all fundamental management issues. The Program highlights include the Entrepreneurship course and the Field/Consulting Project. In the Entrepreneurship course, participants prepare a business plan for a company they plan to launch. The winning team qualifies to represent ALBA in the annual European Business Plan of the Year Competition (EBPYC); it is notworthy that the ALBA teams are steadily among the top finalists in the European Business Plan of the Year Competition since the School started participating in the competition, in 2001. In particular, ALBA has own the 1st prize twice, in 2003 and 2005, the 2nd prize in 2006 and 2007 and the 3rd prize in 2008. To date the only European Business Schools that can claim such a record performance are ALBA Graduate Business School and London Business School. It is one of the two Business Schools that made it to the finals every year since the first year of participation. The MBA concludes with the Field/Consulting Project, which gives participants the opportunity to tackle a real-life business issue and put their accumulated knowledge in action.

Professional MBA: part-time evening courses exclusively for working professionals with at least three years of experience.

HBA-ALBA MBA in Banking: in cooperation with the Hellenic Bank Association for banking executives.

MBA in Shipping: part-time, for executives of the Maritime Industry.

MSc in Business for Lawyers: part-time evening courses exclusively for law practitioners.

MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management: part-time courses for university graduates and professionals interested/working in human resources functions.

MSc in Finance: full time & part-time program for those who want to succeed in the dynamic world of finance.

In addition, ALBA offers Executive Development Programs which address current business issues and integrate the latest research findings in management.

ALBA is located in one of the most historical cities of the world: Athens, a city with great history, world-class museums, historical sites, theatres, restaurants, and recreational facilities. ALBA is situated in one of the most attractive suburbs of Athens, Vouliagmeni and is within walking distance from the wonderful beach.
