Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state and the largest Baptist university in the world.
While remaining true to its heritage, Baylor has grown to more than 14,000 students. The 735-acre campus is located on the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, a metropolitan area of 200,000 people.
The Hankamer School of Business' educational efforts are delivered by Dr. Terry S. Maness, Dean; while Dr. Gary R. Carini directs graduate programs as Associate Dean for Graduate Business Programs. In April 2010, U.S. News and World Report ranked Baylor's MBA program 52nd in its "Top Business Schools" list.

Approximately, 100 students are enrolled in one of the full-time MBA programs.
