La Trobe University
Is the MBA for You?
The La Trobe MBA is aimed towards the working professional seeking to accelerate a career in general management. Flexible delivery modes mean you can choose classes that fit in with your professional commitments and study at your own pace. The program has been designed to suit the lifestyle of the working professional, with classes taught either in the evenings or in block mode across weekends, allowing every student to tailor their learning.
The La Trobe MBA consists of 12 Subjects: ten compulsory core subjects and two additional electives. Students also complete two Core Professional Experience Activities. Students can choose between full-time or part-time study modes, with full-time students completing the program in three semesters (18 Months).
Elective subjects aim to give students the opportunity to either specialise in a particular area of interest, or to diversify their skills and knowledge base. Core Professional Experiences.
In addition to traditional subjects, students also complete an e-portfolio, and take part in our Boardroom Simulation, an intensive simulation of actual boardroom situations and dilemmas faced by organisations.
