The Portsmouth MBA
The Portsmouth MBA is specifically designed to support your career by developing your strategic and decision-making capabilities, giving you the underpinning knowledge necessary for senior and executive level management. Our MBA is an intellectually stimulating, challenging and rewarding executive programme which can have a dramatic effect on your life. It is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and this provides an important external assurance of the quality, standards and reputation of the programme.
Our MBA is delivered in three formats to accommodate different timescales and personal circumstances.
Master of Business Administration (full time 1 year)
This is intended for course members who take time out of their management careers to study on a full-time basis. It also includes a Group Consultancy Project working in a small team with a UK-based organisation usually at board level. You will also be brought together with our part-time students during some of the teaching and at our Master Class Conference, the UK residential and an overseas residential.
Master of Business Administration with Business Placement (full-time up to 2 years)
Our unique two-year MBA with Business Placement programme is ideal for students who wish to extend their studies through paid work experience. Following on from the first year (as above), you will have the opportunity to apply for a paid business placement in the UK or overseas with both years on the programme covered under a student tier 4 visa. It is highly likely that your annual salary on the business placement will equate to the MBA tuition fees making this an extremely worthwhile investment.
Master of Business Administration Executive (part-time 3 years)
This is intended for course members employed in management positions who wish to study on a part-time basis. Our programme has eight teaching blocks per year of which three are a week long (Monday to Saturday) and five are over two days (Friday and Saturday). Your total attendance commitment is approximately 30 days in each year.
