Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester
The Simon experience is designed to prepare students to meet not only the management challenges of today, but also those of tomorrow.
The Simon School promotes an integrated, cross-functional approach to management which uses economics as both the framework and common language of business. Teaching methods include the use of cases, lectures and projects with outside firms.
The MBA Program
The Simon School MBA program is fully accredited by the A.A.C.S.B. International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
At the heart of the student's first-year experience are the cohort, or class team, and the study team. Study teams provide a forum for practicing management skills in a context which demands accountability and responsibility while encouraging the development of interpersonal and team-management skills.
The flexible entrance-date schedule permits students to start the six-quarter program in August (three-fourths of the graduating class) or January (one-fourth). We also offer a new One Year MBA program beginning in June of each year.
The MBA curriculum consists of nine required core courses, 11 electives and a 3-credit sequence in Management Communication . Although not required, concentrations are offered in fifteen areas of study.
