University of Iowa Tippie School of Management

Overview

The Tippie Full-time MBA isn't just about education. It's about transformation. It's about transforming a student into a global business leader -- one who not only welcomes new ideas but who brings them into being. A professional who performs with innovation, integrity, and impact.

The Tippie MBA’s mission is to help you get the job you want after your MBA. We accomplish this by preparing you in the most comprehensive way, through hands-on learning opportunities, skills-based curriculum and intensive personal development. One-on-one interaction with faculty, small classes, and personal attention are the norm at Tippie. Close relationships with the corporate world, a strong alumni network, and career services built around your individual goals ensure you get the results you want.

Tippie offers five specializations across the areas of finance, marketing, and strategic innovation. Staff in each area help ensure students graduate with all the skills employers want -- from hard expertise to soft skills. Learning takes place inside and out of the classroom, as students experience two real-world consulting projects, the first of which happens before their summer internship, boosting marketability for the students and increasing value for their employers.

What is Tippie known for? For starters, an incredibly fast return on investment. Tippie is tied for the #1 for Fastest Payback in the U.S., according to Forbes. The program's personalized touch is proven by Tippie's low faculty-student and staff-student ratios -- both among the best in the country.
