USF MBA students benefit from the rigorous academic tradition and social justice values of a Jesuit university. USF MBA offers five AACSB accredited programs designed to educate men and women for business leadership as they face the challenges of a culturally diverse world. Students (excluding those in the MBA for Executives Program) may choose one or more emphases in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, and Organization Development. Joint MBA degrees are offered in Asia Pacific Studies, Environmental Management, Financial Analysis, Law, and Dentistry (in partnership with the UCSF School of Dentistry).
Full-Time and Part-Time MBA
These programs combine a foundational core curriculum with a broad elective curriculum that allows you to develop expertise in your selected field of study. Core courses follow a cohort model, encouraging close working relations and friendships from the outset of the program and resulting in lifelong professional networks.
One-Year and Accelerated Part-Time MBA
These programs, offering an accelerated pace for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in business, economics, or industrial engineering (with business coursework), consist of 16 units of integrated core courses and 26 elective units. Fast Track, the beginning cohort component, consists of eight integrated core courses along with experiential learning sessions.
MBA for Executives
The MBA for Executives program is specifically designed for experienced managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs. The program consists of MBA courses in five areas of discipline: 1) Leadership and Communications, 2) Economics, Accounting, and Finance, 3) Data Decisions and Operations, 4) Ethics, Social Responsibility, and the Law, and 5) Strategy and Marketing. Interdisciplinary sessions, executive leadership coaching, and business simulations are weaved into the program. Cohorts meet Saturdays and occasional Fridays. The program begins with a three-day foundation module and ends with a three-day executive retreat. The MBA for Executives is a 20-month program that begins each August. Applicants are required to have 7+ years of professional experience, of which 2+ years should be in a management position. The GMAT is optional.
