University of San Francisco, Masagung Graduate School of Management

Overview

I made a rational decision to attend a full time MBA program in the fall of 2007. I’d been in the work force for four years, and most recently in the publishing industry. I realized that I wanted to do something else; I hadn’t ultimately defined that else, but I knew I needed more and I decided to search for it in an MBA program.

I wanted to stay in the Bay Area, so I focused my MBA research on the world-class MBA programs located near San Francisco, including the University of San Francisco. I was initially attracted to the USF MBA program because of its location in one of the most progressive business environments.

The atmosphere at USF is an incubator of entrepreneurism and innovation. I was exposed to some of the most intelligent and interesting business minds in the world. The small class sizes, with its focus on leadership and group learning were key differentiators, and greatly enhanced my learning experience. What’s unique to the USF MBA experience is that the faculty and administration encourage new and innovative business ideas that will help build a better world.

I attended business school to change my career, and the USF career center was a key component for me to realize my goal. The career center provided me with a key internship during the summer between my first and second year, which ultimately led to my new career in renewable energy with SunEdison-- a global leader in providing solar services.
