As part of our mission to provide information and access to business schools and postgraduate programs, the QS World MBA Tour and QS World Grad School Tour are pleased to offer over US$1.200.000 in scholarship funding for selected applicants from around the world who attended the QS World MBA Tour or QS World Grad School Tour and who complete our survey. After submitting the survey you will be taken to the application page. Please complete appropriate application and attach essays required.
Below are details about the scholarships currently available. We are constantly working with the schools, private and public institutions, and our media partners to secure further scholarships and help more great candidates fulfill their potential. We invite you to read the descriptions below, and think about which scholarships are appropriate to you. You can then start the application process.
QS Leadership Scholarship for MBA and Postgraduate Studies
Worth US$10,000
This scholarship is designed to identify QS World MBA Tour or QS World Grad School Tour participants who demonstrate exceptionally strong leadership potential and innovative thinking.
Two scholarship awards of US$10,000 each (one MBA applicant, one postgraduate applicant) will be awarded in 2008.
The criteria are:
- Admittance to a Top 100 Global MBA Program. (See the QS TopMBA Career Guide for list of schools - copies available at all QS World MBA Tour venues and online at www.topmba.com/bookstore)
- Academic achievements
- Submitted essay (max. 750 words) on the topic: "Where I have demonstrated responsible leadership, or innovation, and how it made a difference (either in my community or in my work)"
The winners of the award will be selected by a jury of distinguished alumni from QS Global Workplace and education specialists from the QS World MBA Tour media partners.
QS Community Scholarships for MBA and Postgraduate Studies
Five awards, US$2,000 each (US$10,000 in total)
These scholarships are designed to identify five QS World MBA Tour and QS World Grad School Tour applicants, who demonstrate an exceptional level of socially responsible leadership and an ability to motivate others.
Scholarship Award: Five awards, each of US$2,000.
The criteria are:
- Admittance to any program participating in the QS World MBA Tour or QS World Grad School Tour. (Part-time, Full-time or Distance Learning)
- Academic achievements
- Evidence of financial need
- Submitting an essay (max. 750 words) on the topic: "Where I have given back my time and talent to my community, and how it made a difference"
The winners of the awards are to be selected by a jury of distinguished alumni from Global Workplace working in NGOs and education writers.

QS World Grad School Tour Scholarship for Innovation
Worth US$10,000
The cost of financing your overseas graduate qualification can be a critical factor in deciding whether to study or not and where to read your degree. The team from QS recognize this and so made the decision to offer one $10,000 Scholarship for Innovation to a student attending one of the QS World Grad School Tour Fall 2007 or Spring 2008 events. While many other organizations offer smaller but more numerous awards, QS took the decision to offer one student an award that would either pay their entire tuition fees for a year or make a substantial contribution to their costs.
The criteria are:
- Admittance to any program participating in the QS World MBA Tour or QS World Grad School Tour (MS, MA, LLM or PhD).
- Academic achievements
- Evidence of financial need
- Submitting an essay (max. 750 words) on the topic: "Where I have demonstrated innovation, and how it made a difference (either in my community or in my work)"
The winner of the award will be selected by a jury of education specialists from the QS World Grad School Tour team.
The Joseph Wharton QS Fellowship
Worth US$30,000
The Joseph Wharton Fellowship is awarded to the student that best exemplifies the values of our community. It acknowledges demonstrated achievements in proven leadership, a commitment to professional excellence, and an impact on an organization and/or group.
The Wharton School, in association with the QS World MBA Tour, is making one such fellowship available to an admitted student who has visited a QS World MBA Tour event.
The scholarship is worth $15,000 per annum (awarded each year the student is enrolled, subject to the student remaining in good academic standing).
The criteria are:
- Candidates must meet Wharton representatives at any QS World MBA Tour fair
- Submit an essay (max. 250 words) on the topic: "How I will make an impact as a leader in the Wharton community (academic, extracurricular, school organizations, etc.)"

Chicago Graduate School of Business QS Scholarship
Worth US$40,000
Chicago GSB has long attracted students with more than just solid work experience and high test scores – they have the vision and determination to shape the future of business. The Admissions Committee also looks for students who have demonstrated the ability to succeed through academic endeavors and extracurricular involvement or community service.
Chicago GSB is pleased to partner with the QS World MBA Tour to offer a $20,000 merit-based scholarship, renewable annually, to one incoming full-time MBA student.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must have attended a QS World MBA Tour Fair
- Be admitted to Chicago GSB Full-time MBA program and intend to start classes in Fall 2008.
- Fill out an application
- Attach a copy of their most recent resume
- Submit an essay (max. 500 words), on the topic: "Chicago GSB values students who bring a variety of viewpoints to our community. What unique perspective will you add as a member of the incoming class?"
IE Business School QS Scholarships
Two awards worth €22,500 each
The New-York based Instituto de Empresa Foundation, IE Fund, and QS World MBA Tour are accepting applications for annual scholarships for the IE Business School International MBA Program.
Scholarships, worth €22,500 each, will be given to two female candidates with outstanding academic records and a high potential for leadership and professional advancement.
Candidates must also have attended one of the many events organized by QS World MBA Tour, a prestigious international fair where top business schools from all over the world present their MS and MBA programs.
The criteria is:
- Submit an essay (max. 300 words) on the topic: "Where I have demonstrated responsible leadership, or innovation, and how it made a difference (either in my community or in my work)."

Ashridge Business School QS Scholarships
Three awards worth £19.500 in total
The Ashridge Business School will reward scholarships, total amount £19.500, to the successful candidates who have visited the QS World MBA Tour in Spring 2008. The scholarships will be offered to three categories of candidates: women; emerging markets; and the non-profit sector.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must have attended the QS World MBA Tour Fair in Spring 2008
- Submit an essay (max. 500 words) on the topic: "Where I have demonstrated responsible leadership, or innovation, and how it made a difference (either in my community or in my work)."
Politecnico di Milano QS Scholarships
Worth €500,000
Politecnico di Milano offers half a million euros of Scholarships for Masters in Engineering, Architecture and Management. Candidates attending the QS World Grad School Tour and QS World MBA Tour will qualify for scholarships to Italy's premier engineering school and one of Europe's top schools for management and design. All programs include internships within companies in the Milan enlarged industrial area.
Each scholarship is worth €10,000 per year (€20,000 in total) for selected students. A special commission will assess your Bachelor degree and your academic curriculum.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must have attended a QS World MBA Tour Fair
- Be admitted to one of Politecnico di Milano full-time programs
- Submit an essay (max. 500 words) on the topic: "Why are you interested in doing a degree at Politecnico di Milano?"

University of Toronto - Rotman QS Scholarship
Worth US$35,000
The University of Toronto - Rotman Scholarship will be awarded to one international (non-Canadian citizen) applicant who attended the QS World MBA Tour. The Rotman MBA is currently among the top programs in North America and worldwide, attracting students from more than 30 countries for a transformational learning experience built around Integrative Thinking TM.
The scholarship is worth 50% (approx. US$35,000) of the tuition for the full-time 20-month MBA program.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must submit an essay (max. 300 words) on the topic: "Why are you interested in doing your MBA in Canada?"
Nyenrode Business Universiteit QS Scholarship
Worth up to €28,000
The QS Nyenrode Scholarship will have a range variable from €10.000 up to 100% of the tuition fee (€28.000), which will be granted to one successful applicant.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must be accepted to the Nyenrode International MBA program, thus meeting the admission requirements of at least three years work experience, successful GMAT, interview and QS World MBA Tour participation.
- Submit an essay (which should include responses to both Part 1 and Part 2 as outlined below) on the topic:
Part 1: Please argue either for or against the following statement: “Careers no longer depend on structures, titles and hierarchies, but on self-knowledge, imagination, contacts and appetites for risk.” (Spectator, 22 August, 2007) Try to reveal in your answer both your analytical abilities as well as your personal perspective. (max. 500 words).
Part 2: In what way do you envision yourself making a difference during your lifetime (either in your home country or globally)? How will getting an MBA at Nyenrode help to achieve this goal / these goals? (max. 500 words).

Cass Business School QS Scholarship
Six awards worth a total of £93,000
The Cass Business School, London, is offering 6 scholarships worth a total of over £93,000.
Ranked among the top schools in the world, the Full-time Cass MBA is an intensive twelve-month course delivered by leading academics and business experts. In 2008, Cass are launching a number of scholarships to attract the highest calibre of international candidates onto the Cass MBA programs in London:
-Two half-fee scholarships will be awarded to the best international female candidates accepted to the Full-time MBA program - £14.000 each
-Two half-fee scholarships will be given to the best international male candidates accepted to the Full-time MBA Program - £14,000 each
Delivered over one long weekend each month, for 24 months, the Modular EMBA enables professionals throughout the UK, Europe and further afield, to catapult their careers without the need to relocate to London.
Scholarships available include:
-One half-fee scholarship for Modular Executive MBA for best international female candidate - £18,500
-One half-fee scholarship for the Modular Executive MBA for best international male candidates - £18,500
Cass is looking for high achievers who can demonstrate leadership potential in a global business environment.
The criteria are:
- Candidates must fulfill Cass’ minimum entry requirements
- Have a high academic calibre demonstrated by a first class degree, an excellent well-balanced GMAT score, a well-balanced score of at least 7 for IELTS (if English is not your first language) and have relevant postgraduate work experience (3 years minimum)
- Complete and return a QS scholarship form together with a full Cass MBA application form, GMAT transcript, degree transcript and references by 11 April 2008 to Cass Business School.
