Student Profile

Our Students:

The Alberta MBA attracts strong, mature students who strengthen the learning environment through their rich and diverse backgrounds. We admit between 50 and 60 students each year to our full-time program from among 250 applicants. Approximately 40% of the class are international students, coming from many different countries spanning Europe, Asia, North, South and Central Americas.

Our Services:

We offer a mentorship program and career services. Our MBA students have a dedicated computer lab, access to wireless technology throughout the Business Building, “smart” classrooms and access to an outstanding library collection.

MBA Forums:

On a regular basis, experts and leaders from the local, regional and national business community are brought in to speak to MBA students. These lively and interactive events encourage candid viewpoints from speakers as well as open and lively  discussion.

Internships:

All MBA students are encouraged to participate in a four-month summer internship between the first and second year of the program to apply newly acquired knowledge and skills. This paid internship serves to transfer the information acquired to an applied context, hone business skills developed and build networks for career growth.

Our Graduates:

Alberta MBA graduates compete successfully in the marketplace. Consistently, over 90 percent of our graduates are employed within three months of graduation.
