Bradford University School of Management

Established in 1963, Bradford University School of Management is one of the foremost and longestestablished university-based centres of management education and scholarship in Europe. The Bradford MBA has been running for more than 30 years.

The School has continued to build on its international reputation as a centre for excellence and provides innovative  management education with three pathways through the MBA programme – fulltime, executive part-time and distance-learning – and the flexibility to switch between them if students’ circumstances change.

The Financial Times full-time MBA Survey 2008 placed Bradford University School of Management 53rd in the world and 13th in the United Kingdom. The programme was rated 11th in the world for offering students value for money. The latest Financial Times ranking of part-time executive MBAs placed Bradford 70th in the world, 27th in Europe and ninth in the UK.

The full suite of Bradford MBA programmes has accreditation from AMBA (the Association of MBAs), while Bradford is one of just over 100 business schools around the world to have gained the coveted EQUIS accreditation.

The UK Treasury lists Bradford among the top 50 business schools in the world. This means that students from outside the European Union, who gain a Bradford MBA, enjoy enhanced standing in the UK highly-skilled migrants’ programme.

Almost half the School’s academic staff are from outside Britain or have non-UK qualifications, while more than 30 nations are represented among the students at the Bradford campus. This ensures that the MBA has a truly international focus. Full-time students have the chance to study for part of their MBA at one of Bradford’s many partner institutions abroad.

Bradford integrates personal development into the programme through its personal-development portfolio, which forms an assessed part of the course. The School also supports MBA students with personalised career guidance.

The Bradford MBA maintains small cohorts, with a maximum class size on the MBA of 70. The programme combines business-orientated skill development and rigorous teaching of evidence-based management research. It thus provides better, smarter ways of doing business through a course of learning that students can apply directly to learning problems.

The School of Management is attractively located on a self-contained site, in 13 acres of parkland, with fully-equipped teaching facilities, library, computer facilities, language unit and restaurant.

Private, inexpensive accommodation is plentiful in houses close to the School of Management. Alternatively, students can obtain accommodation in University-managed facilities.
