ESADE Business School
ESADE Business School is one of the world’s most prestigious business schools. It has campuses in Barcelona, Madrid and Buenos Aires and covers the two large training fields for organisation management professionals: MBA and Executive Education.
ESADE is the first European Business School that offers two full time tracks that focus on training managers using a broad international approach, enabling our students to lead change in all kinds of organizations. The 18-month MBA is a programme designed for participants with a minimum of two years of work experience who are generally interested in changing their career path or becoming entrepreneurs. The first year of the MBA, which can be taken in either Spanish or English, covers the mandatory courses; the second year allows students to customize the programme according to their needs, through the electives subjects offered at ESADE or through the extensive Exchange programme (ESADE has over 50 exchange partners throughout the globe). International students with little or no previous knowledge of Spanish can learn Spanish as part of the MBA curriculum.
The One Year MBA is targeted at participants with significant business experience who 
are interested in accelerating their career or setting up their own company. It consists of 12 intensive months divided in 5 terms with continuous Spanish language training.
The core classes are taught entirely in English, and participants can choose electives in either Spanish or English.
Apart from these two Full Time MBA programmes, ESADE launches in collaboration with Georgetown University a new MBA with an innovative format. The Global Executive MBA is an exclusive part time program that combines distance learning with six international modules located in Washington, Moscow, Barcelona, New York, Brazil/Argentina and India/China. This MBA
is offered to professionals with more than eigth years of postgraduate work experience and an international profile.
With their strong emphasis on developing managerial skills through the LEAD program and a clearly international outlook, the Full Time MBA programs are highly practical and empower their students to make major headway in their careers. By the time they have completed the MBA all our students have gained solid decision-making skills, an excellent capacity for teamwork and a clear international perspective. They have also been imbued with a fundamental set of values and a deep sense of social responsibility.
ESADE MBA has been ranked number 1 international school by recruiters (Wall Street Journal 2007) who described ESADE graduates as “wellrounded in their technical knowledge, managerial skills, international perspective and values”. Some of the top recruiters coming on campus are: Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Johnson & Johnson, Hilti, Deutsche Bank, among others.

Having studied political science, I felt the need of improving my academic knowledge in finance, accounting and management courses. In the end, the experience at ESADE was enriching not only because of the excellent academics, but due to a very international environment (36 nationalities) of my classmates and professors. Thanks to my MBA I have learnt to work under pressure and in a very diverse team (you try and make work together a Jamaican, a Norwegian, an Austrian, a Spaniard, an American, a Colombian and a Swiss!), not in competition but in team-work, the unbelievable strength of ESADE. After graduating from my MBA at ESADE, I joined Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch’s (LODH) Global Custody Department. LODH is a Swiss private bank with headquarters in Geneva. I was given the responsibility of the marketing strategy as well as the client acquisition, mainly of international clients.
