Overview

The Zicklin School of Business is the largest collegiate school of business in the nation and the only City University of New York college that offers business programs accredited by the AACSB. We educate leaders committed to global awareness, ethical practice, and responsible management.

RECOGNITION
The Zicklin School is ranked among the Aspen Institute’s Global 100 full-time MBA programs integrating social and environmental impact into the curriculum, and is recognized for its degree programs in publications such as U.S. News & World Report, Crain’s, The Princeton Review, and Accounting Today.

WORLD-CLASS FACULTY
In the classroom, you will have the opportunity to interact with teachers at the forefront of their fields. At Zicklin, our faculty are among the top 40 in research output, and among the top 25 cited by academics and industry leaders, according to the University of Texas-Dallas research rankings (http://top100.utdallas.edu/) and the Social Science Research Network (http://ssrn.com/).

OUR CENTERS
The Zicklin School creates a lively atmosphere at Baruch College with a wide array of programming that includes industry leaders such as Shelly Lazarus, Chairman and CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, Tommy Hilfiger, and Craig Newmark of Craig’s List.

Students, faculty, and the general public benefit from the research, consulting, and events produced by our academic centers such as the Field Center for Entrepreneurship, the Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity, and the Weissman Center for International Business. Recent events include: Putting $$$ on Green, The Quest for the Sustainable Corporation, and Fundraising Principles for Community-Based Organizations. The Field Center also hosts an annual entrepreneurship competition, sponsored by Merrill Lynch, with traditional and social venture tracks.

The Zicklin School also houses the Wasserman Trading Floor, the only full-featured simulated trading environment of its kind in New York City and one of only a few in the nation.

MAJOR AREAS
As a Zicklin MBA student you can choose among 15 majors:

Accountancy, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Economics, Finance, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, International Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Statistics, Taxation, and several Management areas: Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, and Operations Management

You can customize a general management option as well as double major, while completing your degree on time.

The Full-Time Honors MBA program is built around a cohort of students admitted together each fall semester. It all starts with the pre-term program, an intensive three-week immersion including leadership development, career management, team building, academic preparation, and cross-cultural management, as well as social activities with alumni and current students.

In each of your first two semesters, you will be assigned to a learning team of five students that leverages the cohort’s professional and cultural diversity; your peer network is at hand. Read less
