Overview

Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state and the largest Baptist university in the world.

While remaining true to its heritage, Baylor has grown to more than 14,000 students. The 735-acre campus is located on the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, a metropolitan area of 200,000 people.

The Hankamer School of Business' educational efforts are delivered by Dr. Terry S. Maness, Dean; while Dr. Gary R. Carini directs graduate programs as Associate Dean for Graduate Business Programs. In April 2009, U.S. News and World Report ranked Baylor's MBA program 63rd in its "Top Business Schools" list.

Baylor's MBA Program is one that enhances the practice of business; melding intellectual capacity with personal integrity; innovation with social responsibility; and action-oriented leadership with accountability. A key value factored into every aspect of Baylor's MBA program is the cultivation of principled leadership. Our goal is to develop accomplished individuals of integrity and purpose, with a capacity to lead, mindful of the example they set on the job and in their communities.

Embedded throughout each MBA class are traditional themes: serving the community, working in teams, respecting global relationships. Chief among them, however, is the thread of ethics and responsible behavior.

Approximately, 90 students are enrolled in one of the full-time MBA programs. With a commitment to small class sizes and a coordinated curriculum between core disciplines, you will enjoy individual attention of a dedicated graduate business faculty. Baylor Business attracts nationally and internationally recognized faculty who are actively involved in corporate consultation as well as academic research.

And, thanks to our accelerated program, an MBA is closer than you think. Three core semesters and one summer semester make up the 16-month program.

A widespread and active alumni network awaits you upon graduation to connect with major national and multinational employers have ongoing relationships with the MBA Career Management office. Baylor Business allows you to study business the way you will do business.
