Overview
The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, located in Southern California, is a unique management school dedicated to training people to become effective and ethical leaders, strategists, and visionaries in whatever organization they serve. Our focus stems from the belief that management is a liberal art -- a human enterprise encompassing perspectives from across various disciplines. This positions the Drucker School as a "Different School of Thought" and not just another business school.
Named after the most prominent management thinker of the 20th century, Peter F. Drucker, the Drucker MBA program offers a high quality interactive educational experience: small classes averaging 25 students per class and instruction from world renowned professors. Approximately 70% of our classroom instruction is either in case study or discussion format and we incorporate team building in classroom projects and presentations.
Consistent with our vision, we attract students who exhibit strong leadership and achievement skills or who clearly show the potential to develop such skills. These students typically wish to develop themselves both as individuals and as professional executives fully competent in the complex, globally connected economy, and recognize our focus on leadership, strategy, and our philosophy of management as a liberal art.
Our flexible MBA curriculum allows both full-time and part-time students to select areas of interest in Strategic Management, Finance / Financial Engineering, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Global Management, and Marketing. Students are also able to take courses outside of the management program in the areas of Biosciences and Bio Engineering, Psychology, Politics and Policy, Economics, Information Sciences, Public Health, Human Resources, and other disciplines through the various schools in the Claremont Graduate University (http://www.cgu.edu) and the highly-esteemed Claremont Consortium of Colleges (http://www.cuc.claremont.edu).
