Overview

The Saïd Business School is one of Europe's youngest and most entrepreneurial business schools. The School is not a stand-alone institution but is fully integrated into one of the world's greatest universities. MBA students become members of an individual college, allowing academics and students from a wide cross-section of backgrounds and disciplines to live and work together.

Oxford has world-class university research and spinout companies, and a thriving regional economy, creating a vibrant entrepreneurial culture. The School is home to Oxford University Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, helping to nurture the University’s new high tech spin-offs, which provide many of the MBA project assignments.

The MBA class is truly global in outlook and composition, with 95% international students. Our average GMAT score is one of the highest in Europe and students have an average of 6 years work experience.

At Saïd Business School we expect our applicants to be exceptional, and our course reflects this. We have created one of the most flexible one-year MBA courses available. Designed to give you the foundations to think about business from all perspectives, it will develop your knowledge, your critical faculties and your practical skills.

Students participate in two projects:
1)The Entrepreneurship Project, in which students devise a professional standard business plan for a new venture which explores innovation and entrepreneurship. Approaches vary from high technology to know-how based businesses and originate from students themselves.

2)The Strategic Consulting Project gives students the opportunity to spend two months consulting at client companies based world-wide. The challenge of working internationally in multi-disciplinary, multi-functional teams or as an individual, tests and strengthens students’ interpersonal and communication skills and their ability to operate successfully under pressure in the global business environment.

Students also have the option to undertake an Individual Project or an internship in the summer.

The MBA Careers Service provides a comprehensive support programme for students throughout their year. The careers team includes sector consultants who have worked in top-tier investment banking, strategy consulting and diversified industrial firms. Companies recruiting at Oxford include leaders across the industrial, finance and consulting sectors, such as Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Lehman Brothers and Siemens.

Facilities at the School include four horseshoe style lecture theatres, a large 300 seat lecture theatre, and a state-of-the-art information resources centre. Social facilities include a restaurant, common room, open air courtyards, gardens and an amphitheatre.

We encourage anyone interested in the Oxford MBA to attend an open event in Oxford or overseas. For details please visit our website at:
