Overview

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is a progressive and innovative business school with an international reputation for management education through quality teaching and research. With more than 3,100 students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and PhD program, the School boasts18,700 alumni in 80 countries. At Haskayne, we encourage and promote basic, applied and instructional scholarship. We are committed to high quality research in all areas of business management including accounting, finance, human resources and organizational dynamics, marketing, management information systems, operations management and strategic management. We are known for our pioneering efforts in specialized fields such as global energy management and sustainable development, finance and entrepreneurship.
The Haskayne School of business was one of the first business schools in Canada to receive accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The Haskayne School of Business is located in Scurfield Hall which is designed for interactive learning with a management skills development lab, computer labs, syndicate rooms for group meetings and lecture theatres all equipped with state-of-art learning technologies. The business library is one of the best in North America with 100 business related electronic database available on the library website and more than 830 databases available through the University library system. There are more than 8,000 business journals available online. The majority of our database and online journals are available from off-campus. We also have a Bloomberg terminal, a Thomson One (former Reuters) station and a growing collection of e-books.
The Haskayne Career Centre helps students and alumni find careers through professional development sessions, job postings, company information sessions and visits from top corporate recruiters. These dedicated services are available to Haskayne students throughout their time at the school and following graduation.

The curriculum is only the starting point. Our students enhance their knowledge and keep up-to-date with the latest business trends and business practices. Haskayne programs give students opportunities to interact with the top business decision-makers.

Diversity is a key descriptor of our MBA students from an educational and a cultural perspective. Our students come from backgrounds such as engineering, nursing, management and the sciences. A four-year undergraduate degree is the norm, but some of our students have already completed another graduate degree.

Haskayne MBA students come from around the world and understand the importance of doing business globally. Sensitive to cultural differences, they understand the importance of working in cross-cultural teams and value the different perspectives and unique ways of looking at situations and issues offered by a diverse group of students.
