Overview

Field tested and future ready.
Daniels' MBA, specialized master's, executive and undergraduate programs provide rigorous training in business fundamentals coupled with values-based leadership and ethical decision making. These lessons are not bound by classroom walls, or even continents. Daniels students get hands-on, highly relevant business experience through simulations, practicum projects and international trips, resulting in students who are business sharp, field tested and future ready.

As a result, Daniels ranks as one of the top business schools in the nation according to BusinessWeek, U.S. News and World Report, the Financial Times and Beyond Grey Pinstripes.

Students in our programs benefit from personalized attention, collaborative projects and a spirit of community that pervades everything we do. Students are challenged--intellectually and personally--and supported in their quest for greater professional and personal success.

The Daniels MBA includes: Full-time MBA, Professional (part-time) MBA, Executive MBA, International MBA, One-year MBA.

Specialized master's degrees include: Master of Accountancy, finance, marketing, real estate and construction management, and business intelligence. A dual degree option is also available.

The Suitts Center for Career Services provides outstanding career and networking resources, including employment research, job placement, career counseling and mentoring– starting from the moment of acceptance to after graduation.

One of the first business schools established in the U.S., with continuous AACSB accreditation since 1923, Daniels built a curriculum based on business ethics and leadership long before it became the norm. In 2009, Daniels ranked No. 20 in the world by the Aspen Institute's Beyond Grey Pinstripes, an alternative ranking of business programs that integrates ethics into its curriculum.

An ideal setting to study, work and play.
Daniels is located in Denver, Colorado, a city known for its dynamic blend of business, culture and can-do Western optimism. Denver's diverse business community serves as a learning laboratory. From Fortune 500 corporations to alternative energy start-ups, Denver offers ample opportunities to gain real-world experience.

In fact, Denver is consistently ranked by Forbes and Kiplinger's as one of the best cities for young professionals, thanks to its strong job market, highly educated population, and easy access to the natural playgrounds of the Rocky Mountains.

ADMISSION
Daniels admits students for September and March starts. The application cycle works around three deadlines. All applications are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, which are offered at the same time as admission decisions. Applicants are evaluated by previous academic performance and completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, results of the GMAT (if applicable), work experience, response to essay questions, and two letters of recommendation. Admissions interviews for the Full-time MBA program are conducted on an invitation-only basis, they are required for the Professional and Executive MBA programs.

Student profile

Lisa Moretti de Mainka
Full-Time IMBA, University of Denver

“My career started in professional sports, working for the Colorado Rapids, a major league soccer team acquired by Kroenke Sports Enterprises. There, I learned about the value of creating strong networks and professional relationships. It's a skill that has served me well at the Daniels College of Business.

I've always had an interest in international business and the program at Daniels had everything I wanted. The school’s reputation was a key selling point. And the location is ideal. Once you've lived in Colorado, it's hard to leave.

I pursued my International MBA as a full-time student because I wanted to be immersed in the MBA experience. I'm an experiential learner so I was excited about all of the opportunities Daniels offers to visit developing nations, hear business leaders speak, present to Fortune 500 companies, and build a social network. Daniels is community oriented, and giving back is important here. I am the co-president of GIVE, which stands for Graduates Involved in Volunteer Efforts and a member of the Daniels Ambassadors program, which offers peer-to-peer information and support.

Your MBA experience comes from planning and talking to people who have gone before you. Don't spread yourself too thin, but take advantage of the many ways Daniels can support your personal and professional ambitions.

While I haven't found my dream job yet, my MBA is giving me the tools to get there. I know who I am and what I want. Most importantly, I know Daniels was the right decision for me.”
