North America is still the world's leading business school centre

Around 80% of candidates would consider the US as a study destination with Canada (25%) only bettered by the UK (53%) into third place.

It is without question, since the MBA was created here and the US is still the world’s largest economy, that MBA programs flourish here and there is a huge range of choice for the MBA candidate.

US programs tend to be two-year programs, with a focus on allowing students to consider their options at a more level pace than they might on a one-year course.

There is also a strong impetus towards internships during the summer break. North American business schools are extremely popular, and the sensible candidate should be careful to shortlist the programs there which are right for them as individuals before applying.

Despite a strong challenge from Europe, North America is still the world's leading business school centre.
