About California State University - Fullerton

Since 1963, the hard work and dedication of our graduates has earned them an enviable reputation in the Southern California marketplace. And since Southern California is a unique, world-class economy in and of itself, the Mihaylo experience prepares our graduates for all regions of the world. We are one of only 178 universities in the world and one of five in California to have earned dual accreditation in both business and accounting from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). We are the largest business school in California, 5th largest in the nation, and our MBA program is ranked 111th across the nation by U.S. News and World Report. We are listed in Forbes Top 100 public institutions, are annually recognized by Princeton Review as one the “Best 294 Business Schools”, and were named by U.S. News & World Report in the top ten public master’s institutions in the West. The advantage of being the largest AACSB accredited institution in the West Coast and one of the largest in the nation means that our students can pursue an MBA in many areas of strength. Those interested in an MBA in Entrepreneurship choose Mihaylo. Our MBA in Accounting is strengthened by the fact that Mihaylo is a preferred recruiting school with the Big Four accounting firms and all the regional firms. The MBA in Business Intelligence takes advantage of an ISDS faculty ranked in the top 60 nationally in research productivity and the MBA in Risk Management and Insurance is the largest program west of the Mississippi. The fact is that our students can choose to fine tune their MBA in twelve different areas including: Accounting, Economics, Business Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Management Science, Marketing, and Risk Management and Insurance. This diversity gives the Mihaylo grad the edge within their chosen industry as well as thousands of fellow alumni in nearly every industry as part of our enviable network. Our program’s high standard of excellence is maintained, in part, by the competitive nature of our admission process. Our students come from diverse academic and professional backgrounds and demonstrate a consistent level of excellence and achievement. Admission is competitive and based on an overall assessment of the candidate’s academic, personal, and professional backgrounds. Our MBA program is designed to mirror the career goals of our students. With options to complete your program either full or part-time, the basic curriculum consists of ten foundation courses, four electives, and a capstone course. The foundation courses assure a complete understanding of the world marketplace while the concentration courses provide a particular area of focus. A highlight of our program is the strategy capstone class. Students operate in work teams completing a major consulting project with a local company. The learning experiences and environment of the MBA program has fostered a tradition of excellence with our students winning a cumulative 39 national awards from the National Small Business Institute’s case competition, placing in the top ten for 17 of the last 18 years, and placing in the region’s top three at the ACG Cup competition. The Mihaylo Leadership Scholars program offers full, half and partial tuition scholarships for the Full-time Daytime MBA program. We also encourage qualified students from all MBA programs to apply for the Michael A. Reagan scholarship, a $4000/year scholarship based on GMAT and GPA scores. The College also offers Master’s programs in the following areas: Accountancy, Economics, Information Systems, Information Technology and Taxation, to include an MBA and MST program at our Irvine, CA campus.
