MBA in Global Business and Strategy Overview

The MBA in Global Business and Strategy program is designed for high-potential executives eager to fast-track their careers to executive positions in mid and senior level management in the service and manufacturing sectors. The diversity of the student body creates the ideal environment for collaborative learning and the development of leadership skills necessary for success in global organizations.

Students of the MBA in Global Business and Strategies are admitted both by EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Belk College of Business of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Upon completion of the program students obtain a separate MBA degree from each university, as well as a joint certificate in Global Business and Strategy from both Business Schools.

Admission to the MBA in Global Business and Strategy is highly competitive. The program seeks talented and high potential applicants and the admissions committee reviews applications on an individual basis, looking at both quantitative and qualitative aspects of an applicant’s professional and academic background, and will assess potential for academic success and future professional growth.

FORMAT

The MBA in Global Business and Strategy is a dual-degree program delivered entirely in English at EGADE Business School in Monterrey. The courses taught by EGADE Business School faculty are offered Monday to Thursday from 6pm-9.30pm, with students taking one course a week. The courses taught by the Belk College of Business faculty are delivered over three weekend sessions (Fridays from 6pm-9.30pm and Saturdays from 9am-4pm) and also include four weekday videoconferences.

The MBA in Global Business and Strategy is offered as a full-time or part-time program. Both formats share class sessions allowing networking to take place among international full-time students and those who are working during the program.

It seeks to develop executives for leadership positions capable of defining business strategies and guidelines in order to create a competitive advantage within international and complex organizations or within their own organizations.

GLOBAL EXPERIENCE

In the MBA in Global Business and Strategy we give our students the chance to study abroad during 1 semester at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and offer them a number of international internships with the following institutions:

- OECD (Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development), France (1 semester).
- Representation of Mexico in the OECD, France (1 semester).
- Viva Santé, France (1 semester).
-Infosys, India (Summer).

These are fully equivalent to the individual degrees that are awarded to MBA students at each school, predicated on a comprehensive and rigorous learning experience and carrying the equivalent level of academic performance and expectation.
