    Master of Science in Accounting Overview

    The Master of Science in Accounting at McIntire School of Commerce is a nine-month postgraduate program where you’ll learn to use accounting to solve complex problems, present information to clients in a clear, compelling way, and be a leader in your firm and in the field. Tracks include financial reporting and assurance and tax consulting.

    Ranked fifth in the US for first-time CPA pass rate, the M.S. in Accounting also boasts a 98 percent placement success rate with 300+ hiring companies worldwide within three months of graduating.

    The average starting salary for M.S. in Accounting graduate is $59,000, with many landing jobs in public accounting, corporate accounting, finance and consulting.

    Tuition fees for the M.S. in Accounting are $44,066. 

    The McIntire School of Commerce also offers merit-based scholarships and financial-need scholarships. 

    Entry requirements and how to apply 

    Six prerequisite accounting courses are required. Application requirements include a GMAT score, two letters of recommendation, essay, resume/CV, and an English language test score and transcript credential evaluation if degree earned is outside of the United States.
