Smeal College of Business’s Master’s in Business Analytics (M-BAN) is a one-year program totalling 30 credits.

The M-BAN program teaches students to apply all three levels of the analytics maturity model: descriptive (what happened), predictive (what could happen), and prescriptive (what should happen), giving participants the ability to solve real-world problems.

Smeal’s M-BAN has a focused curriculum with a number of different courses, including:

  • Descriptive Analytics
  • Data Visualization for Decision-Making
  • Programming for Business Analytics
  • Business Data Management
  • Predictive Analytics

  • Prescriptive Analytics
  • Implementing Analytics for Business

Students also have the opportunity to undertake a Dual Degree. This means, participants can combine their M-BAN degree with a secondary master’s in areas such as accounting, finance, management, or real estate.

By waiving overlapping classes, students can potentially earn two degrees and two graduate certificates in only two years. Choose from the following list of graduate certificates:

  • Accounting Foundations (12 credits)
  • Business Analytics (9 credits)
  • Business Architecture (9 credits)
  • Business Management Foundations (12 credits)
