Professional MBA Overview

Cox School of Business’ Professional MBA program is 24 months long with classes held exclusively on weeknights and some Saturdays. 

You will study 13 core courses covering finance, economics, marketing, management, business analytics, operations and strategy. You will then have the chance to choose from 17 different electives to complete the rest of your Professional MBA. You will also be able to obtain a concentration in one of the 11 specializations. 

During your studies at the Cox School of Business, you will have access to activities and opportunities such as student clubs, the Career Management Center, Business Leadership Center, the Associate Board Mentor program as well as global study trips. 

Previous graduates of the Professional MBA program have gone on to enjoy employment in consulting, technology, financial services, energy, manufacturing, real estate, as well as government, healthcare, hospitality, retail and transportation. 

In addition, the average Professional MBA student sees a 34 percent increase in salary from orientation through to graduation. 

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are the same for international students as they are for home students at approximately $94,176. 

Special funding is available at Cox School of Business, including merit-based scholarships and affinity awards. Options include:  

  • Indian Scholars: Awards valued at $50,000+

            All candidates from India are automatically considered for the Indian Scholars program.

  • Latin American Scholars

            All candidates from Latin America are automatically considered for the Latin American Scholars program.

All candidates are considered for the merit-based scholarships, so there is no need to apply separately for these. Please note that you may be asked to provide a supplemental essay to be considered for departmental scholarships based on your professional and/or academic backgrounds.

Entry requirements and how to apply

Those who wish to apply to the Cox School of Business will need to provide the following documents along with their completed online application form: 

  • Unofficial copies of undergraduate transcripts or marksheets
  • GMAT or GRE score (taken within the last five years)
  • Essays
  • Contact information for two professional references (anyone that can speak for your work-related skills and abilities)
  • Up-to-date CV

International candidates may alo need to provide the following:

  • IELTS/TOEFL/PTE scores

However, you may qualify for a waiver for English proficiency exams if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have lived and worked in an English speaking country for two years out of the last four years
  • You scored at or above the 80th percentile of the verbal section of the GMAT or GRE
  • English was the primary language of instruction at your undergraduate institution
