The Sheffield MBA is concerned with management from an operating and strategic perspective covering all core business functions. The programme is based on three pillars: Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Consultancy. It takes an interdisciplinary perspective on the nature of managing organisations, creating new ventures and serving as a consultant. Students have some options so they can explore other subjects of particular interest in greater depth. The modules are taught using lectures, case studies and company visits, thereby enabling students to apply theory in practice. The MBA project allows students to undertake a significant investigation in a particular organisation or sector.
