Global MBA Overview

INCAE Business School offers two main full-time MBA options: the MBA Latin American Leadership and MBA Global Perspective. Both MBA programs are designed to help students develop the business and managerial skills necessary to achieve in the increasingly demanding business world.

The MBA Latin America Leadership program allows students to focus their studies on specific areas of interest through different specializations: sustainability, marketing, operations & technology, finance & economics or entrepreneurship. The program is mainly taught in Spanish, with the option of taking some electives in English. Spread over 14 months, the first five modules are taken on the Nicaraguan campus and the rest on the Costa Rican campus, plus two months conducting a Management Consulting Project.

The MBA Global Perspective is mainly taught in English and is made up of blocks of mandatory courses balanced between the functional areas of administration. It lasts 14 months: 12 on campus in Costa Rica and two months doing a Management Consulting Project. During the project (MCP), students are exposed to the current economic and business environment under the guidance of a professor. By implementing what they have learned, students gain experience in areas such as decision-making, group work, and others.

The admissions process for both MBA programs is similar and includes the standard requirements. A GRE or GMAT score needs to be submitted alongside the following documents: college diploma, certified college transcript together with relevant evaluation scale, resume showing experience, three letters of recommendation and three essays (INCAE's format). An interview with an INCAE representative will then follow.

The cost of INCAE’s world-class MBA varies depending on the specific MBA program, and the nationality of applicant, according to whether or not he or she is from Latin America or abroad. A number of scholarships are available including the Leaders for Change Scholarship, for Latin American citizens, which offers up to 70% of the tuition fees and the Woman Scholarship which offers up to 50% of the tuition fees for women who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

After completing an MBA from INCAE you will join the INCAE Network, consisting of over 13,000 members. Companies that have employed graduates of both programs include Proctor & Gamble, Nestle, British American Tobacco, HSBC, Kraft, Intel and Henkel.
