At the John Molson School of Business, students can choose one of three paths for their MBA journey:

The Full-Time and Part-Time MBA programs address issues of a global economy through an interdisciplinary general management perspective. The MBA in Investment Management program enables students to work towards both the MBA and the CFA charter designations simultaneously while building their network in Canada’s two financial hubs, Montreal and Toronto. The Executive MBA program is for leaders with extensive work experience who are committed to their academic, personal and professional development. All three programs offer convenient scheduling that allow candidates to continue working while studying.

Our experiential and case-based programs, combined with a variety of professional development workshops provided by our Career Management Services team, prepare our diverse students for success in a competitive job market, demonstrated by our 91% placement rate within 3 months of graduation

We take a holistic approach to admissions and assess applicants based on their intellectual abilities, leadership potential, career focus or research interest, and communications skills. Relevant work experience is an important consideration, as is active community involvement. 

Admissions requirements
Those who are interested in applying will need to meet the following criteria: 

  • MBA: 4-year undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA / 4.3 scale, GMAT: 580, CV / Resume with two years of professional work experience, English proficiency (Academic IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL ibt 95), 3 letters of reference
  • MBA in Investment Management: 4-year undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA / 4.3 scale, GMAT: 580, CV / Resume (no work experience required), 2 letters of reference, English proficiency
  • Executive MBA : 4-year undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA / 4.3 scale, GMAT: 580,  CV / Resume with 10+ years of work experience required (5+ years of management preferred), English proficiency, 2 letters of reference
  • Research-based Master's programs: 4-year undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA / 4.3 scale, GMAT: 580, CV / Resume (no work experience required), English proficiency, 2 or 3 letters of reference (academic references preferred)

The Molson Building (MB) is the dynamic green centre of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business. This architecturally stunning 37,000-square-metre 15-storey landmark boasts a distinctive design that incorporates bright atriums, modern classrooms, several networking spaces, a 300-seat auditorium, six amphitheaters and two basement levels that link it to neighbouring buildings and to the metro system. The building was awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver level certification by the Canada Green Building Council.

Student life

The John Molson School of Business has a very large community of student-run clubs and events. The Commerce and Administration Students' Association (CASA) represents the undergraduate students at John Molson and oversees 15 clubs comprising over 200 student volunteers. The John Molson Graduate Students' Association (JMGSA) represents graduate students. Graduate students can take part in the following clubs:

Our 90-minute one-on-one session gives you the opportunity to simulate the typical in-person interview with the opportunity to practice frequently asked questions and receive tailored advice on how to improve your performance.


3. C-RISE program for international students

FAQs

For the full-time & part-time MBA programs, we are on a rolling basis and accept candidates for Fall and Winter. The deadline for Fall application is March 1st for scholarship considerations and international students. The deadline for Canadian & permanent residents is June 1st (upon availability). The deadline for Winter application is June 1st for international students and October 1st for Canadians & permanent residents.

For the MBA in Investment Management and the Executive MBA, we only accept applicants for the Fall term and accept international applications until March 1st and consider all Canadians and Permanent residents until July 15.International candidates who wish to apply to the EMBA program should contact the team at [email protected] prior to submit an application. 


Our competitive tuition allows for top candidates to get an excellent return on investment. A few scholarships are available and based on merit, usually representing up to 40% of the tuition fee. We are proud to provide numerous post-graduation opportunities to our candidates, as demonstrated by our 91% placement rate (3 months after graduation). The post-graduation average base salary without bonus or non-guaranteed compensation is $87,000 CAD , with the majority of our MBAs remaining in Montreal, where the cost of living is significantly lower than in other major Canadian cities. 
While the placement industries change from a year to another, typically our students find positions in the following sectors: Finance, Consulting, Consumer Products, Supply Chain, Technology, Pharmaceutical, Transportation & Logistics, Non-Profit, etc.
