Babson College

Overview

Babson’s MBA program has been ranked number one for entrepreneurship for 19 consecutive years by U.S.News & World Report, as well as by the Princeton Review. At Babson, we believe that entrepreneurship is applicable—and crucial—in organizations of all types and sizes, in established businesses and new ventures. Babson is the only business school that has developed and advanced an innovative teaching method, Entrepreneurial Thought and Action®. Unlike most business schools that teach entrepreneurship as a discrete, siloed subject, Babson incorporates Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® across all disciplines.

Integration across disciplines is a fundamental part of our academic pedagogy and is purposely built into the curriculum of the Babson MBA. The curriculum is unified across programs and every course is highly interactive with an emphasis on team-based learning. Students gain deep functional knowledge and business skills while developing an entrepreneurial mindset. This innovative curriculum, with interdisciplinary team-teaching and built-in flexibility, delivers a business education that superbly prepares students for successful careers.

Building off the classroom curriculum are the Signature Learning Experiences (SLEs). These experiences reinforce and expand classroom learning through hands-on activities that require students to put theories into practice. Students praise these experiences as an “invaluable means to act in real world situations in real time.” The focus is not only on the development of the business skills necessary to be successful in an ever-changing global environment, but also on the skills necessary to manage self and others.

There is a wide array of elective courses for deeper experiential and field-based learning. Electives can be organized to give students parallel experience to their current or future career paths. Students can customize their portfolio of electives to meet their career aspirations.
With four program options, the Babson MBA allows you to choose the program that best suits your lifestyle and objectives. With the unified curriculum across all programs, students take the same core courses with the same faculty and can choose from a common set of electives. Each program is grounded in our unique application of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® across business disciplines and tailored to meet the educational, professional, and personal needs of our diverse students.
