Student Profiles
Julian Bartholet graduated from our Executive Part-time MBA in 2010. He wanted to make the move from sales to the boardroom. Using the School of Managements dedicated and highly experienced careers and personal development resources, he was able to devise a clear strategy for his career progression from the beginning of his MBA. He has gone from working for an SME to being a strategic business development manager at a FTSE 100 company.
Julian said: I would never have had the confidence or ability to take such a proactive approach to progressing my career without my MBA, especially the support I was given in ensuring that the experience was tailored to my needs.
Areej Nassar graduated from our Executive MBA in Dubai in 2011. She was looking for an MBA that would fit in with her packed schedule and keep her career on a steep upward curve without slowing down her progression in the short term. As a brand manager for a FMCG global company, she wanted to study at a globally recognised business school with an international staff, alumni and student body. Bradfords Executive MBA in Dubai met her needs perfectly.
She said: The fact that classes were an intense three day period every five weeks meant that the MBA didnt interfere with my day-to-day progression at work and I could use vacation days and weekends to focus exclusively on my studies. Bradford is very good at organising group work and encouraging collaboration you are not just lectured at. This meant that we could share knowledge and expertise from different perspectives, which made me a more versatile and forward thinking candidate when I went for my new job at Johnson & Johnson.
Hajime Sudo started our Full-time MBA in Perugia in 2011. He wanted to gain the expertise and skills to help his home country of Japan recover from the devastating earthquake. The combination of a world class MBA with sustainable development at its core and the opportunity to study in a completely different business culture with similar industries to Japan was what attracted him to Bradfords Perugia MBA.
He was asked to join the FTs MBA student blogging panel and given the opportunity to share his experiences of life in and outside of the classroom in Italy on a weekly basis. Read his blogs here http://blogs.ft.com/mba-blog/author/hajimesudo
Marcus Orton graduated from our Accelerated MBA in 2011. He was keen to achieve a well-respected MBA that slotted into a timely short break from his professional work and make a quick transition from R&D into business leadership. The programme gave him a completely new outlook on how to approach his personal and professional goals, especially the Sustainable Operations module.
He also found the support with getting back into education was particularly important for making the most of the Accelerated MBA. He said: The Effective Learning support from day one has been invaluable, it is a real asset to the School and a powerful aspect of the educational experience.
He added: Sharing these few months with so many colleagues from further afield, helped me gain a deeper appreciation and respect for their cultural heritage, insight and values. Marcus is now exploring opportunities in the management of healthcare provision.
