Cranfield is one of the oldest established and most prestigious schools in the UK and is one of an elite group of schools to hold triple AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation. In addition we consistently figure as one of the top schools in the world in the most important rankings.
The Cranfield MBA is a highly practical programme aimed at talented individuals who can demonstrate aptitude, ability and achievement within a functional specialism, and are now looking to develop their career with a move to a more strategic role.
For the student, the transformation is not just at the level of mastering the skills and techniques to become better managers; it is critically about developing the personal qualities of confidence, emotional intelligence, empathy and team working that are essential for becoming a successful strategic thinker, imaginative entrepreneur, a culturally-sensitive manager, a socially-responsible citizen or an outstanding leader.
Interactive learning
The maturity and diversity of our students, their individual expertise and collective career experience, the real-world orientation of faculty in their Executive Education teaching, our Learning Team culture which leverages student know-how, and the concentrated nature of the programme combine to produce what is, for many candidates, a life-changing experience - intensive, interactive, inspirational and international.
The MBA programme
Students can choose to study our one-year Full-time MBA or our two-year Executive MBA on a part-time or modular basis.
Core modules in part one build competence in the main functional areas of business and the key skills associated with performing these functions. In part two students then select themed modules that take an integrated approach to contemporary business issues and research.
Personal development is central to the Cranfield experience and is a compulsory module that runs throughout the MBA.
A unique component of the Cranfield MBA is the International Business Experience, an international study tour which is an integral part of the programme. In 2011 Cranfield MBAs visited more than a dozen countries as diverse as Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, China, Cuba, Ghana, Japan, Philippines, South Africa, USA and Vietnam.
Personalised career development
Our career development team includes accomplished career coaches who work with our students to help them achieve both the personal and professional changes they wish to make, and business development consultants who help them develop strategies to penetrate specific markets and make contacts with key employers.
Students also network across our influential alumni base with over 14,000 contacts in 120 countries around the world through the Cranfield Management Associations interactive website.
