The HPU Experience
I graduated from HPU in 2003 with a Master of Business Administration degree and a concentration in Finance. I chose HPU because I thought an MBA from HPU would be the ticket to a management position, and I was right.
I liked the fact that HPU professors were professionals themselves, with experience ranging from Wall Street to prominent companies like Proctor & Gamble. During the course of the program, I learnt what it takes to be successful in the business community from instructors with a very hands-on approach. My business experience started the day I entered the program.
How the HPU MBA helped me secure my future
After attaining my MBA with a concentration in finance, I jumped into the finance industry. I started as an agent and progressed quickly to a management role in my second year.
After working with John Hancock for five years, I launched my own financial company - Wealth Strategy Partners - in 2007. I managed to grow the company from four staff members to thirty two in just 18 months, despite the uncertain economy.
The MBA at HPU helped me acquire the people skills necessary to run an organization of this magnitude. My success can also be attributed to the vast international network I was able to develop at HPU. This network enabled me to build my company with the right people. In fact, my top management team is comprised entirely of HPU graduates!
