After visiting NYU Stern for the first time, I knew it was the best place for me to attend business school. The people were genuine, the location was ideal, and I already knew it had an excellent reputation.
As a student, I made lifelong friends who had such passion for their goals. They had a thirst for knowledge both inside and outside the classroom. Stern professors were so engaging, and the diversity of student backgrounds provided a unique opportunity to learn from my peers.
The Graduate Marketing Association and Media, Entertainment, & Sports Association were particularly valuable for my career development because they provided informal networking opportunities among students with similar career interests. The skills and leadership techniques I learned from professors, career counselors, and peers were crucial to both my summer internship and full-time offer from Unilever.
Socially, the highlight of my business school experience was serving as president of the Stern Rugby Club. We played against other top business schools, and this was such an incredible bonding experience for our team. After two years, there is no doubt that Stern far exceeded my academic and career expectations, but fellow students were really what made my business school experience so rewarding.
