Queen’s MBA is a 12-month, full-time program, ranked #1 in Canada and #2 outside the USA by BusinessWeek (2010). It is an incomparable and transformational learning experience that provides so much more than an outstanding business education. The program is designed to develop exceptional leaders, valuable team members, and highly-effective managers.

The Power of Teams
Queen’s MBA utilizes an innovative approach to team-based learning that is far more sophisticated than that used in other MBA programs. We believe strongly in our team-based approach because it mirrors today’s progressive workplace. You will develop a thorough understanding of the best practices for successful team-building and teamwork, while practicing your team and leadership skills.

A Culture of Coaching
A key component of the Queen’s MBA experience is our coaching culture. You will have the benefit of a Team Coach, a Personal Coach, a Career Coach and a Lifestyle Coach while in the program. This is an approach that is unique to Queen’s, and an important differentiator of our program.

A Global Perspective
Queen’s MBA provides a broad understanding of the global business environment, international business, and cross-cultural management challenges. Typically, between 40% and 50% of our class comes from outside Canada. Organizational effectiveness is is increasingly dependent on people who can be effective and respectful across a variety of cultures. This is referred to as "Cultural IQ." Queen's has partnered with the Cultural Intelligence Center to provide insights and strategies you can use to become an effective global business manager.

Experiential Learning
Queen’s MBA offers numerous opportunities to “learn by doing”.
• The Tricolour Fund – A student-run multi-million dollar new venture fund
• Queen’s Alternative Asset Fund – A student-run multi-million dollar hedge fund
• Management Consulting Project – Analyze and create a comprehensive business plan for a real-world business issue or opportunity
• New Venture Project – Create a business case and launch plan for a new company, product or service and present your plan to a panel of angel investors
• Certificate in Socially Responsible Leadership – An experience-based, integrated exposure to the dynamic field of Responsible Leadership

International Exchanges
You will have the option of participating in an international exchange at one of our 26 international business school partners. This provides an exceptional cross-cultural learning experience in a region that is of particular interest to you.
Management Fundamentals
Queen’s MBA provides a strong foundation of management fundamentals and functions. In addition, you will be exposed to leading-edge content in the areas of leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, managing change, and corporate social responsibility. Because we take an integrated approach to teaching, you will develop an understanding of the impact of all business decisions across the organization and beyond.

Elective Streams
During the final module of the program, you are given the opportunity to choose one of five elective streams: Consulting & Project Management; Marketing; Finance; Innovation & Entrepreneurship; and General Management.

Career Coaching and Support
You will receive extensive and personalized attention from our Business Career Centre team. Our role is to support and facilitate your career search by ensuring you are equipped with the skills and information necessary to help you achieve your goal the job you desire. Typically, 90% of our graduates have acquired career-quality jobs within 6 months of graduation. For those wishing to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity, Queen’s offers support through the Dare to Dream Internship Program.

International Accreditation
Queen’s School of Business is fully accredited by the AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and is EQUIS accredited through the EFMD (the European Foundation for Management Development).
