Jeanine Ware from Arcadia, California, graduated from the London campus of Schiller International University in December 1999, with an MBA in International Business.
Jeanine studied for her BS in Business Administration at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1993. After graduating from USC, she studied Spanish in both Costa Rica and Ecuador. Jeanine's knowledge of Spanish was put to good use when she joined the US Peace Corps. After her initial training she was posted to San Marcos de Colon, Honduras, where she worked as a Business Consultant, training small business owners in Marketing, Financial Management and Quality Control. She also instructed high school graduates on job searching strategies, interview skills and CV writing techniques. As a Community Educator, she concentrated on issues such as AIDS Education, Drug Abuse, Environmental Awareness and Nutrition.
While studying at Schiller, Jeanine combined her studies with an internship at the United Nations Association in London, working on one of their many campaigns. Among the MBA courses that Jeanine studied at Schiller were Management Communication, Banking Operations and Procedures, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Methods of Research and Analysis and IT Applications in Business. She was awarded Schiller's MBA Graduate Research Assistant position and carried out research on child labour in developing countries.
After obtaining an MBA in International Business, Jeanine returned to the USA where she is now working in the Worldwide Licensing Department of Neutrogena, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Schiller International University's international focus on curriculum, the multinational background of the faculty and students and the nature of the university's MBA projects have all helped Jeanine and many other students to face the challenges of working in multinational organisations.
Schiller graduates have gone on to pursue careers with international companies such as Barclays Bank, Nike Co., Procter & Gamble and Reuters Europe to name but a few. The international flavour of Schiller International University's MBA programmes is enhanced by the fact that students have the opportunity to transfer between campuses during the programme, giving them a unique study experience in a truly global environment.
