St. Johns University is internationally recognized as an institution of academic excellence. In 1995, St. Johns inaugurated its Rome Campus to offer students throughout the world a distinctive international education. The inauguration of the Rome Campus demonstrates St. Johns Universitys commitment to prepare future managers to the many exigencies of a global market. The classes offered at the New York Campuses are open to all students enrolled in Rome Campus programs.
PROGRAMS:
The St. Johns University Rome Campus offers an MBA in Finance, Marketing Management or International Business. The degree program requires the completion of a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 18 courses either on a part-time or full-time basis. The main objective of the MBA program is to provide students with challenging and rewarding educational experiences that prepare them to perform successfully in any business organization.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT:
St. Johns University provides students with the necessary programs and services in order to assist them in their career planning and
development. These services are offered to all students enrolled in a St. Johns graduate degree program. Our dedicated administrators assist students with procuring job and internship opportunities as well as providing career advisement.
SEMINARS AND LECTURES:
Seminars and discussions with company executives or
diplomats of international organizations are conducted
periodically in order to provide graduate students with the
opportunity to network with global leaders and to learn
about the challenges facing businesses today.
CLASS SCHEDULE:
The graduate programs are designed with the working student in mind. Therefore, all classes are scheduled on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday in the evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The language of instruction is English and the majority of faculty arrive from St. Johns University in New York. In addition, the faculty/student ratio and the class sizes are small, which enables close interaction between the students and the professor.
SCHOOL SPECIALIZATIONS:
FINANCE SPECIALIZATION
The objectives of the FINANCE field of specialization are threefold: familiarizing the student with the importance, scope of operations and problems faced by business firms in their international financing activities; assisting career-minded degree candidates in evaluating the growth prospects, requirements and opportunities in this field of business endeavor; and
making the student aware of the inter-connections between international corporate finance, government economic policy and the international economic environment.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIZATION
The objective of the marketing management specialization is to develop professional marketing executives by equipping them with a rich, integrated understanding of the role of marketing within an enterprise. Emphasis is placed on creating skills that cultivate a keen awareness of the rapidly changing demands of a marketing managers environment. The curriculum focuses on the role of the marketing executive, emphasizing the organization, planning, evaluation and control of all aspects of a firms marketing activities. The student is exposed to methods of new product development, management of advertising, distribution and sales administration. They also become familiar with market data, analysis and quantitative marketing models in decision-making.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SPECIALIZATION
The international business specialization is for students who wish to take their global business education even further, perhaps preparing for a specific overseas assignment or building upon an undergraduate degree or prior experience in international relations, a language specialty or other such career pursuit. Students in this program take highly focused courses in subjects such as Taxation on Foreign Investments, Analysis of Foreign Financial Statements and Global Information Systems for International Management.
