THE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG (HKU)s full-time MBA programme has risen rapidly through the ranks to make its business school one of Asias foremost institutions. For a relatively young programme which is just beginning to participate in worldwide peer rankings and quality assurance assessments, HKU has already made some impressive marks.
HKU MBA in partnership with London Business School and Columbia Business School
MBA students at HKU can pursue part of their studies at London Business School or at Columbia Business School. After completing the core courses at HKU, students will travel to London or New York to study electives along with the MBA/EMBA students of these Schools. These partnerships complement an existing relationship between HKU and Fudan University in China.
Programme Details
1. 9 months in HKU to study core courses with focus on regional and China business.
2. 3-4 months full-term of studies at London Business School/Columbia Business School with their own students and participate in other activities that would further integrate our students into the student life at these Schools.
3. Not an exchange programme as an entire cohort of students is transported to the host campus to derive maximum benefits from the London/New York experience in terms of education, exposure and networking.
4. Students are expected to attend course(s) or seminar(s) in major business cities in China such as Shanghai and/or Beijing upon their return from London/New York to be further exposed to the booming China market.
5. Asia- focussed electives are available for students who wish to concentrate on the region.
Programme Highlights
1.Worldwide Recognized
The Economist ranks HKU MBA No. 1 in Asia.
In the latest World MBA Rankings released by The Economist, HKU MBA Programme is ranked No.1 in Asia and 36 in the world. Although the full-time MBA programme at HKU has a relatively young history, the Faculty of Business and Economics has demonstrated impressive results in world rankings. Since entering The Economist Ranking in 2003, HKU MBA is consistently ranked one of the top programmes in the world.
HKU MBA for the first time has entered the Financial Times (FT) rankings of the full-time MBA programmes and is ranked No. 37 in the world. This is great beginning for us given that we are one of the youngest MBA programmes in the region and have managed to grow and build one of the most dynamic programmes in a very short period.
HKU was ranked no.1 in Asia and 22nd in the world in the Quacquareli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2011. HKU was also consistently ranked as one of the top universities in Asia by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
