QS has released its latest Employer Survey Report 2022 shining a light on the world of work for MBA graduates.

The report takes a closer look at salaries for MBA specialisations, the functions employers are looking for in MBA recruits, hiring outlook, skills and so much more.

Let’s take a look at the most popular functions MBA employers hire for in Canada with data taken from the QS Global Employer Survey.

Canada’s job market continues to grow for MBA professionals. Unsurprisingly, the country has evolved into a popular destination for international students thanks to immigrant-friendly policies and relatively cheaper education.

Finance has proven to be the most popular function MBA employers are hiring for in Canada at 57 percent.

22,300 job vacancies are expected to become available in the Finance and Investment sector in Canada over the next 10 years according to JobsBank.ca – and with 21,700 grads set to enter the job market, demand and labour supply in the sector will remain equally balanced in the near future. If you’re an MBA grad with an MBA in Finance, the job hunt will hopefully run smoothly.

From 2019 to 2028 there is set to be 19,400 job vacancies becoming available in the Canadian marketing sector with around 19,900 job seekers entering the job market. Although the job market for Marketing MBA grads is almost balanced between vacancies and job searchers, meaning graduates have good career prospects in Canada, remember you’ll be completing with Masters in Marketing grads too.
