Overview

INSEAD is widely recognised among the world’s top-tier business schools as one of the most innovative and influential business schools. It is the only business school with full-fledged campuses in Asia (Singapore) and Europe (France). Currently 145 faculty teach more than 900 MBA students, 9000+ executives and over 60 PhD students from over 75 countries. There are more than 38,000 INSEAD alumni around the world, in over 150 countries across all continents.

The full-time MBA programme challenges participants to a one-year concentrated study in a highly diverse learning environment. In 10 months, the challenging and diverse curriculum provides the brightest young minds in business with a solid foundation for careers in management.

With students representing over 70 nationalities, over two campuses in Europe and Asia, the programme develops successful, responsible, and thoughtful leaders and entrepreneurs who create value for their organisations and their communities. Students also have the opportunity to take elective courses at the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, making INSEAD the only business school in the world to offer participants the opportunity to study across three continents and earn their MBA in just 10 months.

In a typical year, INSEAD MBA graduates join organisations in over 50 countries, more than any other business school.

Content and Structure:

The 10-month programme is divided into five intensive study periods of eight weeks. During the first three periods, students undertake 13 core business subjects. In the final two, students customise their degree by choosing from over 70 elective courses.

Candidate Profile and Admissions:

The selection process for the MBA programme is highly competitive. While displaying a remarkably diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, all successful MBA candidates must demonstrate a combination of excellent academic capacity, international motivation, management and leadership potential, and a desire and ability to contribute to the INSEAD experience.

INSEAD has two intakes per year on each campus, one in January and the other in September. A staged admissions process is in place for both, and candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

BSc Economics - University of Ibadan
INSEAD MBA December 2009
Before INSEAD: Management Consultant at Accenture

INSEAD is a unique business school in many ways; everything from the multi-location strategy to the tri-lingual requirement to the 10-month duration and the impressive diversity of students and faculty sets it apart from other top MBA programmes.

I have been challenged with a dizzying amount of work and play during my time here. INSEAD is not only refining the knowledge and skills accumulated in the course of my career and providing a solid theoretical framework for the future, but is also affording me the opportunity to learn greatly from my course-mates - a more diverse pool of students than one could hope to find in one organisation or indeed, most other business schools.

INSEAD is also definitely the place to be in uncertain times. The strong focus on entrepreneurship means that the economic crisis has felt like a huge opportunity. It's the only place for someone like me, whose ambition is to seek out business models that will work in Africa and bring long-term economic growth.

All in all, INSEAD has provided maximum learning and value in a minimum timeframe - what can top that?
