Hult International Business School Hosts Visionary Speakers: MBA News

Hult International Business School is currently hosting its first Visionary Speaker Series involving multi-industry business leaders and some of the world’s most influential people from across the globe. The visionaries will address current and prospective students and Hult alumni at each of the school’s campuses in San Francisco, Boston, London, Shanghai and Dubai.

Offering MBA, Executive MBA, Master and Bachelor Degree Programs, Hult International Business School is ranked 40th in North America in the QS Global 200 Business Schools Report 2013/14.

Its Visionary Speaker Series, formerly known as the Hult Executive Speakers Series, aims to allow students access to some of the world’s most influential people in order to inspire students to make a difference in today’s world. Hult International Business School has hosted speeches from over 90 leaders in the past including Bill Clinton (the 42nd US president), Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia), Sir Bob Geldof (humanitarian, broadcaster and musician), Steve Forbes (chairman and chief executive of Forbes Media) and Biz Stone (co-founder of Twitter).

The world’s most influential people in business pass on their success stories

This year’s program began in December 2013 and runs until April 2014. Robin Chase is the founder and former CEO of Buzzcar as well as one of Fast Company’s ‘Fast 50 Champions of Innovation’. Chase is appearing in San Francisco on January 20th 2014 to talk about revolutionizing industry and how she used technology to tap into the value in excess capacity.

On January 29th  2014 in London, Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever and Forbes’ ‘Person of the Year’ 2011, will conduct a talk on driving sustainable growth in order to double the size of one of the largest consumer goods companies in the world while having a positive social impact.

In Dubai, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairman and managing director of Biocon, India’s first billion-dollar biotech company, will give a talk on February 19th 2014 regarding the power of entrepreneurship and how her company evolved from a US$200 start-up into a global business. Shaw was named one of Forbes’ ‘100 Most Powerful Women’ in 2012 and also made her way onto the ‘TIME 100’ list 2013, TIME Magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people.

Last, but by no means least, is Arianna Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post Media Group and part of ‘TIME 100’ list of 2006 and 2011. Speaking in Boston on April 9th 2014, her talk will focus on how the company revolutionized the way we consume news as well as revealing what it took to create the world’s largest digital media company.
