New Appointed Head of Executive Education at HEC Paris: MBA News

Marina Kundu has become the first woman to be appointed head of executive education at HEC Paris. She will replace Bertrand Moingeon, who has been in charge of executive education at HEC Paris for 16 years, taking over from him in the position of associate dean.

Kundu, who holds an MA from Yale University in the US, has taught at the University of Chatham in Pittsburgh before becoming dean of undergraduate studies, director of the Master of Public Affairs program and the director of international affairs at Sciences Po in Paris. In 2008 she became known as the director of degree and certificate programs of HEC’s executive education portfolio.

HEC Paris ranked tenth in Europe and top for executive education

The main HEC Paris business school is ranked 10th in Europe for its MBA program according to the 2013/14 QS Global 200 Business Schools Report  and the executive education department was ranked first by the Financial Times in 2013, training 8,500 executives every year from over 65 countries worldwide. Students are able to take a number of leadership courses including the HEC Executive MBA and the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, as well as open-enrollment and custom courses for individuals and companies.

Kundu says of the future of HEC Paris executive education, “Our challenge over the next few years will be to develop our portfolio of programs in different regions around the world. By giving our participants – a richly diverse group of senior managers, entrepreneurs, and business executives – the courage, skills, and knowledge they need to change and to effect change, our hope is to help shape the future of business and society in a positive and sustainable way.”
