All courses on the program are structured to provide students with a world-class learning experience, taught using a blend of traditional in-class instruction, modern technology, and hands-on leadership training, which is integrated throughout.

The Auburn MBA focuses on leadership development, and includes an internship and an international trip. In keeping with the school’s focus on leadership, students compete in leadership challenges at the Blue Ridge Leadership Conference, held annually in the autumn. Students can also gain leadership experience and take advantage of networking opportunities through various student organizations, including the Auburn Supply Chain Management Association, the International Business Club, and the Real Estate Society.

The MBA program at Auburn includes a range of specializations, including healthcare management, sales, project management, finance, accounting, information systems, human resources management, operations management, business analytics, and marketing. Dual-degree options are also available, and include an MBA/MS in Finance, and an MBA/MS in Information Systems.

The full-time MBA program is a 16-month, lock-step, trimester curriculum model. Students enter as a cohort during the fall semester and graduate at the end of the following fall semester. The program includes nine core courses and three electives, according to personal interest or as required by a specific concentration. The program also includes an international trip in the spring semester.

The first (fall) semester includes core leadership, advanced professional development, information systems, and financial and strategic analysis courses, along with orientation and leadership seminars. The spring semester includes core courses in marketing and consumer theory, operations excellence, cost analysis and systems, one elective, and advanced professional development. During the summer term, students take an approved internship – while this is optional, it is highly recommended, and for those students with less than two years’ work experience, the summer internship is required.

There are currently 81 students enrolled on the full-time program, 45% of which are international students, 36% of which are female, and 6% of which are US ethnic minorities, with acceptance rates at 40.8%.

Lower fees make the MBA course at Auburn more affordable, with a good return on investment – graduates earn an average salary of US$147,792, three years post-graduation, representing an increase of 48%.
