The Belk College of Business offers an AACSB-accredited MBA program in Charlotte, one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States.The Charlotte MBA is designed primarily for professionals who continue their careers while earning their degrees. Our students average nearly nine years of work experience. More than 200 companies are represented, including multinational corporations, not-for-profit organizations, real estate developers, sole proprietorships, and health care providers. This wide range of experience enhances class discussions, team projects, and networking opportunities. Academic concentrations, which provide a depth of knowledge in a specific function or business area, enhance the general MBA degree. Current concentrations include Business Finance; Economics; Financial Institutions/Commercial Banking; Information and Technology Management; International Business; Management; Marketing; Real Estate Finance and Development; and Supply Chain Management. MBA students have the opportunity to interact with influential leaders in business, government, health care, and technology. Programs include guest lecturers, executive speakers, and networking events for students and alumni. The Belk MBA is a 37-credit-hour program. Additional preparatory courses may be required for students who do not hold an undergraduate degree in business. Additionally, the Belk College offers an MBA with specialization in Global Business and Strategy (MBA-GBS), a full-time, double degree program, jointly with with EGADE, the graduate business school of Tecnologico de Monterrey-Monterrey Campus, Mexico. The MBA-GBS is a lock-step program, based in Monterrey, with courses taught in English. Upon completion of the 17-month program, students receive MBA degrees from both institutions, plus a certificate in Global Business and Strategy.
