Frequently Asked Questions

COVID-19 FAQ Part 1

Events: Our campus is closed for the rest of the semester, so all in-person events have been cancelled. We will replace those with webinars on different topics and those will be posted to our events page: https://www.terry.uga.edu/mba/fulltime/admissions/events.html

Contacting us: We are working remotely, so contacting us remains the same: through [email protected] or by phone at 706-542-5671.

Exams: GRE and GMAT are rolling out online options and allowing people to reschedule for free, so we expect all applicants to be able to submit valid scores and to reach out if they have questions or problems. We are no longer accepting international applications, so there shouldn’t be any TOEFL or IELTS issues to triage.

Visas: All incoming students work with our Office of Global Engagement for their I-20s and visas and they can reach out directly to that office (https://globalengagement.uga.edu/immigration) with any questions or problems. If someone is unable to start this fall, we will work with them to defer for one year.

COVID-19 FAQ Part 2

Application deadlines: We have extended our round 5 deadline until August 1, but as I stated above, the deadline for international applicants has passed for fall 2020.

University accommodation: The University uses a lottery system for on-campus housing, and to the best of my knowledge, admitted students can still register for campus housing and should do so as soon as possible. They can contact UGA Housing directly with questions: housing.uga.edu.

Given the recent updates from GMAT and GRE, we are not making any other changes to our admissions process besides the August 1 deadline extension for Round 5.

What is the class size?
We are currently enrolling about 65 students a year. Our small class size allows for a high degree of faculty/student interaction, dedicated staff support, and personalized career development support.
What are the deadlines for the program?

The Full-Time MBA has 5 application rounds. The first deadline is October 10, 2019 and our final deadline is June 1, 2020.  Please review our website for more information about deadlines and requirements.

We strive to make the application process as smooth and transparent as possible. We consider every applicant for merit aid. Interviews are by invitation only, and each application is reviewed holistically. The Admissions Committee looks for self-aware, bright, accomplished team players with a strong sense of purpose who can think on their feet. Our program is very collaborative, collegial, and team-focused.
