Stanford University enjoys the honor of being both the best in the US and the best in the world this year, rising three places since last year. It achieved a perfect score for the entrepreneurship & alumni outcomes indicator, a metric which is particularly significant given the growing demand from students for MBA programs to incorporate entrepreneurial elements.
Last year’s number one, Harvard University, has to settle for being ranked second in both the world and the US. Despite falling one place, it’s the only institution to achieve a perfect score for employability, a metric which measures employers’ perceptions of each university or business school. More information about the methodology can be found here.
Maura Herson, assistant dean of the MBA program at MIT Sloan Graduate School of Management (ranked fourth this year) told us: “At 400 students per class, the MBA community at Sloan is small enough that students can really build their personal and professional network across the whole MBA population.Students also have the ability to engage with the larger Sloan and MIT communities through clubs, classes, conferences and the alumni network.”
