Vanderbilt University has partnered with QS to offer a new MBA scholarship, providing applicants with the opportunity to study at the university’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

The new scholarship will cover up to 50 percent of tuition, currently at approximately US$26,575. Applicants must attend a QS World MBA Tour or a QS Connect MBA event, complete the QS Applicant Survey and get admitted to Vanderbilt.

Other criteria include having between two and four years of professional work experience, an undergraduate degree equivalent to a four-year US degree and a minimum score of 680 on the GMAT. Applicants from countries where English isn’t the first language must also achieve a score of 100 on the TOEFL or seven on the IELTS.

Kim Killingsworth, Director of International Recruiting and Relations at Vanderbilt University, said: “We are looking for admitted candidates who exhibit not only strong merit-based indicators academically, such as GMAT or GRE scores, but also the willingness to contribute to and thrive in a very collaborative environment, that of the Vanderbilt MBA.

“As the scholarship is open to those who attend QS events and who are admitted to our program, we seek a diverse mix of recipients and offer approximately 10 scholarships. We’re looking for diversity in nationality as well as in work experience and life experience.

“We hope that by offering this scholarship we will attract candidates who may not have previously considered Vanderbilt and are willing to explore all that Vanderbilt and living in Nashville, Tennessee has to offer.”

The deadline for the first round of applications is January 9 2019. For more information on the scholarship and how it’s assessed, click here.
