TopMBA Weekly Pulse November 13

It must be getting colder, as 2 Years at HBS points out, because this week’s Pulse is packed with bloggers who have left the great outdoors behind to pay some attention to their blogs!

However, as Archana suggests, you shouldn’t forget about the outdoors just yet, as otherwise the fall colors will pass you by!

Fall isn’t the only the season we’re entering though – it’s also interview season! My Journey to Business School has three interviews with her top-three schools; hopefully she can put Plan B on the shelf.

Naija Girl MBA is also contending with multiple suitors, getting interview invites from MIT Sloan and Chicago Booth, and Under Prescription’s great GMAT score, which has caught the attention of Tuck and MIT Sloan for interview invites, means that he can join the club too.

Top Dog MBA has yet another interview, this one from MIT Sloan, while Scott Duncan relays his interview with the same school, to help other applicants going through the process. More? But, of course! EF Essays and Road to My MBA both share interviews they did with Accepted.com.  Obviously, we like to think all this success comes from being featured in the Pulse and the wonders it can do for your reputation. You’re welcome, guys! (Obviously, we’re joking – congratulations and good luck, all).

Round 2 application deadlines are fast approaching. Pulling That MBA Trigger is getting geared up, studying for the GMAT and trying to narrow down school choices. The latter is what My Life of Bliss is currently struggling with too.

It is time to buckle down for Black Girl MBA on Campus, who has presented us with her November study schedule. UCLA Anderson blogger Britney Sussman talks about the headache that is LA traffic…wait, hold on, no she doesn’t! In a much less stereotype-conforming piece, she actually highlights how easy it is to get around LA without a car! Ehssan Torabi speaks very highly of the experiential learning programs at the Duke Fuqua School of Business, while Reaching the Thirties shares his excitement at Fuqua’s recent rankings success.
