The Chinese University of Hong Kong Overview

The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. It was established in Hong Kong in 1963 and the first business school to offer BBA, MBA and Executive MBA programs in the region. Our world-class faculty and cutting-edge research nurture leaders, entrepreneurs and social stewards, with our proud network of more than 36,000 alumni driving impact in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

The flagship part-time MBA consists of core and elective courses, divided into six regular terms and two optional summer terms. Part-time MBA students complete 45 units and completion of the part-time curriculum normally takes 24 months. If desired, students can opt for international exchange/dual degree program to extend their studies up to 48 months. An option for dual-degree program with HEC Paris rewards part-time MBA students with two degrees from both institutions.

FLEX MBA is a new and flexible way to earn your part-time MBA degree. A mode of study combining the advantages of online pre-recorded lectures and interactive activities, with intensive face-to-face classes on campus. FLEX MBA is ideally suited to frequent travellers and professionals who strive to strike a balance between their busy schedules and other commitments whilst pursuing academic excellence. Students can opt for the FLEX mode on a term-by-term basis for added flexibility.

The CUHK MBA places great emphasis on preparing leaders for the digital age and keeping at the sharp end of technological developments. As such a selection of the current courses available include ‘AI and Machine Learning’, ‘Fintech Analytics’, ‘Data Visualization and Business Intelligence’ and many others.

To become a forerunner in China, one must have knowledge of business practices in Chins. MBA courses like “China in Global Economy” and “Belt and Road cum Greater Bay Area Ecosystem” help you tap into unlimited opportunities in China.

Students may stick to the general MBA program or include an optional concentration in either “Finance and Technology” or “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. As the first Hong Kong MBA program with a focus on entrepreneurship, we conduct courses on venture capital investment and startups. Our partnership with the Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform (PAVD), one of the world’s largest venture investment clubs, connects students and graduates with angels and venture capitalists in the region.

Candidates are required to have a recognized bachelor’s degree and at least three years of full-time post-qualification work experience in addition to satisfactory GMAT/GRE and IELTS/TOEFL scores. GMAT/FRE exemptions may be considered for applicants of part-time program with over seven year’s work experience, including five years in a managerial position, subject to approval from the Admissions Committee.
