    Full Time MBA Overview

    Established in 1963, CUHK Business School is the first business school in Asia to offer a full suite of BBA, MBA and EMBA programmes. Over the past decades, the school has gained global recognition for nurturing business leaders in various industries and has grown the largest business school alumni network among the schools in Hong Kong, with over 37,000 alumni across 44 countries.

    The flagship full-time MBA programme is divided into three regular terms and an optional summer term. Full-time MBA students are required to take at least 51 units within 12 months. The study may be extended to 24 months if students opt for summer internship, international exchange, dual-degree programmes. For students who join the dual degree programme, students will be conferred with degrees from both CUHK Business School and one of our partner universities: HEC Paris, the Rotterdam School of Management or the University of Texas at Austin.

    CUHK MBA aims at preparing leaders for the digital age. As such, courses like ‘AI and Machine Learning’, ‘Fintech Analytics’, ‘Data Visualization and Business Intelligence’ are available to students.

    To become a forerunner in China, one must equip with knowledge of business practices in China. MBA courses like “China in Global Economy” and other practical experience from workshops and career treks help you tap into unlimited opportunities in China. 

    Students may stick to the general MBA program or include an optional concentration in either “Finance and Technology” or “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. CUHK MBA is the first Hong Kong MBA programme with a focus on entrepreneurship, it emphasizes the training on actual practice taught by experienced market practitioners and is supported by the Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform (PAVD), one of the world’s largest venture investment clubs, which connects students and graduates with angels and venture capitalists in the region.

    In 2019, 85% of the students were employed as in Dec 2019, 98% of students secured offers in Asia including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam. CUHK MBA also ranked Asia No. 9 in Career Progress and Career Services in FT ranking 2020. 

    Candidates are required to have a recognized bachelor’s degree and at least three years of full-time post-qualification work experience in addition to a satisfactory GMAT/GRE and IELTS/TOEFL scores. While there is no hard and fast rule as to a minimum GMAT score required to be accepted, it is worth keeping in mind that the average score for current students is 600 or above. 

    A number of scholarships up to 50% of tuition fees are available to qualified students.
