Full Time MBA Overview

London Business School’s (LBS) motto is “To have a profound impact on the way the world does business”. Its present faculty is composed of 130 world-leading, internationally diverse (30 nationalities) experts. With 75% of the world’s top 500 companies based in London and 1,000 start-ups launched per month in the city, students have access to excellent networking and employment opportunities.

The LBS MBA is, “The world’s most flexible program,” with tailored options for completing the course over 15, 18, or 21 months. The class of 2018 is made up of 425 students, 35% of which are female, 90% are international students with 70 nationalities represented. The average student age is 29 years old and participants typically have five years of work experience.

To apply for the LBS MBA you must have a valid GMAT or GRE score. The minimum requirement is a GMAT score of 600 and a typical class ranges from 600 to 800 with an average for the class of 2018 at 707. Course fees currently stand at £75,100 (US$98,904) while LBS encourage all applicants to explore all financing and scholarship opportunities that may be available to them. LBS offer a range of scholarships that are open to all, exclusively open to women, separated by sector and scholarships by nationality/residence.

In addition to the LBS MBA core program, students have options to customize their course by adding from over 70 electives; doing project-based work in London through the London Core Application Programme (LondonCAP); adding language study; sourcing a real-world business issue, reviewed by faculty; doing summer internships, or joining a Summer Consulting Team or LBS’s Entrepreneurship Summer School; doing business projects; doing the school’s Leadership Competencies Framework course; international exchange programs with over 30 academic partners in Europe, the Americas, and Asia; and obtaining global business experience with companies in New York, Tel Aviv, Boston, Shenzen, Hong Kong, Lima, Johannesburg, or Mumbai.

At the end of the course, students attend a two-day Capstone course, featuring an alumni career panel and a range of talks from leading speakers to enable further reflection, innovation, and learning before becoming a member of the LBS alumni. In 40 years, the school’s graduates have increased tenfold, and its executive graduates by twice that amount – creating over 43,000 alumni from 155 countries, with 113 alumni clubs in every continent of the globe.

Post-graduation, 94% of students are employed within three months, with an average salary of

US$155, 183 representing an increase of 92%.
