Overview

Founded in 1979 as a Consortium between the Politecnico di Milano and many Italian institutions and several leading public and private industrial groups, today MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business is a non-for-profit consortium limited company.

MIP and the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering together make up the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, which is involved in all the many aspects surrounding research and education in the fields of management, economics and industrial engineering.

MIP offers over 25 Master programs every year, including outstanding MBA and Executive MBA programs, plus a catalogue of more than 200 Open Executive programmes for managers covering numerous topics. Subjects range across the entire educational spectrum, from general management to specific topics, including, amongst others, entrepreneurship, design driven innovation, sustainable supply chain management, marketing 2.0 and new media, ICT and digital transformation, project management and industry 4.0.

What are the strengths of MIP?

  • One of the pillars of the School is internationalization. Being part of MIP means getting in touch with a wide network of business schools, visiting professors and students coming from all around the world. In our classes, more than 20 different countries are represented! Such an international experience that does not finish on Graduation Day: the Alumni Community counts more than 9,000 members, living in all four corners of the world.
  • Companies play a key role at MIP. Among our shareholders, there are 22 top companies, while others collaborate with MIP in the framework of MBA and Masters programs. Thanks to this link to the business community, company presentations, in-company lessons, networking events and career days are part of the daily life of our students. Working and studying at MIP represent a great way to develop your network to and to benefit from a balanced mix between academic knowledge and real world experience.
  • Innovation is a central theme at MIP. Since the launch of the first Executive MBA in digital learning in 2014, our engagement in innovating education has skyrocketed. Today, digital learning is blended in 30% of our programs! Moreover, by the end of the year, we’ll launch FLEXA, the innovative Artificial Intelligence platform developed in partnership with Microsoft to ensure personalized continuous learning to students, Alumni and professionals. 

In 2007, the School of Management was accredited by EQUIS. In 2013, the MBA and Executive MBA programs received the prestigious international accreditation, AMBA. The School is member of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), Cladea (Latin American Council of Management Schools) and QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics & Management Masters Network). From 2015, the School is a member of AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In 2017, the School is the first Italian business school to receive endorsement from the EOCCS (EFMD Online Course Certification) for the quality of its digital learning courses taught within its Executive MBA programmes.
